Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
Win XP SP3, all updates; Firefox 18.0 and 18.0.1. Ever since I installed the last round of Windows UpDates (a week ago?), Firefox has crashed when I close one of several open Tabs, sometimes when I close a second Tab. I’ve uninstalled Java, no joy. I do have Adobe Flash 11 ActiveX & Plugin.
Chrome also dies when closing a Tab, with a slightly different procedure.
IE 8.0.6001.178702 seems to be unaffected.
