Firefox version 115 will be the last supported Firefox version for users of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. 113 is the current release so I imagine the change won’t kick in until July 4th when 115 ESR is released.

I’ve been using firefox ESR for years, currently using v102.12 (Final) which was uploaded on the Mozilla FTP site and is not due for update channel release until 6th June 2023. REF: https://whattrainisitnow.com/calendar/
Odd, usually esr is available early for linux but never Windows via the FTP

My trust and confidence in Mozilla with ESR is far greater than any other, YMMV

I would suggest Waterfox, which is very similar to Firefox. The original purpose of Waterfox was to provide a 64-bit browser when Mozilla (developers of FF) were still putting out only a 32-bit version. Nowadays I would use either one interchangeably, and more likely both so that I could keep that many more browser tabs open at the same time.  🙂
