Hello; I “know” my ways around software for way too many years but my hardware not-know-how-to is somewhat limited.
Here comes my question: I have a medium small (250GB) Samsung SSD as my C: drive in my box. The Samsung Magician program keeps telling me that there is a firmware update and I should install it. I know enough that an image backup immediately before the firmware update is a must incl. having the required restore CD, that’s a given.
But still I am hesitant because it’s the C: drive and I currently would not have the time for a repair if something goes wrong.
I solicit some input from Windowssecrets’ hardware gurus on the question if it is wise and/or safe do just start the firmware update.
TIA
Eike
