HP decided that my computer was attacked when all the computers were a month or so ago. When they got finished I was holding a computer that had to run under Adminstrator because the people who tried to fix it, messed up and it cost me a couple of hundred to get to where I am now. They kept trying to find way to get me to pro, I did not ask them they just did it. Never able to work and I am now back at home, but only under Admin cannot use it otherwise. They never found a working number for the version I am now at they worked for 2 days trying to get a working version.

How can I get this working so that I can get back to where I can actually get a good version of Windows 11?

Windows 11 is just Windows 11, no good or bad versions.

What is not working that you need a “working number for the version”?

Have you tried making an image backup and then a factory reinstall?

      cheers, Paul

True Windows is Windows, but each MS Windows has a base number that identifies for that particular iteration for that user/machine. When the crash occurred and I foolishly allowed HP to “FIX” my windows, and they proceeded to wipe clean my computer and then install their version of windows. Then when it was not working, they sent me to a group that they had to fix problems. The then placed TOM Support Application and I allowed them to work on my system which was a mess anyway and not a working version of windows. To make a long story short, they charged me over $200 to fix my computer and then they started trying to get me a working version of Windows. Every one that they tried to install would not install because it was not a working identification number. I finally said I had enough of this and called a halt. Then started to rebuild my system, which was fine until I realized I could not use my user name as I was stuck with an Administrator account.

because it was not a working identification number…I realized I could not use my user name as I was stuck with an Administrator account.

By ‘working identification number’ you mean Windows license ?
You can re-create your local account/user name and password .

As an administrator you can create new users as admin or non-admin. You could create your username as a non-admin user and then logon using that name.

Don’t forget to record your current user/pass so you can make changes if you need.

      cheers, Paul
