As the subject says, I have a FlyVideo TV tuner and video capture card in a PCI slot.

I’d like to find a way to ‘capture’ 8mm video footage using the cable that came with the camcorder (two jacks, one yellow, the other white) when I hook it up to the yellow slot on the TV card with a makeshift audio contraption.

I hear and see the video footage on the computer screen but am clueless as to how to get the footage into a ‘file’ that can then be loaded on to a CD-R.

    Looking forward to your help!

      Scott,

The first thing I would try is download.com. Perhaps you can find a utility which will record your video input to MPEG format. Other than this, Adobe offers pretty expensive software that’ll do the job, but what you need here is an MPEG recording utility that will recognize your Video In, and a decent CD-R Program to write it.

The only ones I could find at download.com are these ones You might also try dogpile.com to search the entire web for free mpeg recorders. Hope this helps!
