I want to change the font size of the left panel of document map. It is too tiny. It is now size 4. I need to change the font size to 10 or 12, so that I can see it. I cannot find the answer from the help manual. Can someone help me?

AskWoody LoungerAugust 2, 2003 at 4:59 pm #699224I found this in the Microsoft newsgroups:[indent]
The solution for this is quite bizarre and was discovered by accident:
switch to Outline view and back. Incidentally, Document Map itself is the
cure for another, entirely unrelated (you’d think) problem in Word 2002. To
make footnotes display in ScreenTips when you hover the mouse over the
reference (as they did in previous versions), display, then hide, the DM.—

I had a problem this morning, my document map was displaying very large text. It took me ages to find the solution.
The ZOOM setting for Document map is set by changing the Zoom setting when you are displaying outline view. I just need to switch to outline view, change my zoom setting from 150% to 100%, and then switch back to Print Layout view (where I wanted to work) and the Document Map looked correct again.
