We have a user who suddenly has to save a file attachment to open it, specifically an Excel file in this case. I’m wondering if he double-clicked on an attachment and in the “Opening Mail Attachment” dialog box have the “Save it to Disk” option button selected and inadvertently cleared the “Always Ask Before Opening This Type of File” checkbox. My question is, where do I go to either set this back to a prompt or have the Excel file open when the attachment is double-clicked? Is this situation also governed by the registry edit information in Microsoft’s knowledgebase article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=290497 ?
