• Formatting of “Forward”ed e-mails

While I (a simple e-mail user) have been satisfied with Outlook (New) for the most part, I am utterly dissatisfied with the e-mail forwarding function – it discards all formatting in the forwarded version.  This makes it necessary to put the formatting back in by manually editing the forwarded e-mail before sending it.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

      Hi Scott,

I use Outlook (New) for two email accounts. I have not found that forwarding an email from Outlook (New) discards formatting.

To test this I sent an email with various formatting to my Outlook (New) account from an email account that uses old Outlook. I then forwarded that email back to my old Outlook account. The formatting was retained. This pic is the email forwarded from Outlook (New) to my old Outlook account.

I forwarded another email that included embedded graphics from Outlook (New) and, again, the graphics was retained.

I looked through Outlook (New) settings hoping to find a fix to suggest to you, but no luck.

      Thanks Paul.

It may be that my problem is eliminated by your using the (old) Outlook which worked fine for me too.

In the meantime, I have found a reasonable workaround.
