Hi Everyone – in the sample below I need to figure out how to auto apply a formula, rather than manually enter the formula for each row. In Column E i want my grand total. To get the grand total I want to subtract Column E from Column C – In other words, =E6-C7 (grand total); then =E7-C8 (grand total); I want to copy this same formula and apply it in all the cells for Column E to get a grand total. Hope this made sense bash

Enter the formula =E6-C7 in cell E7.
Make sure that E7 is selected.
You’ll see a little black square in the lower corner of the cell; this is called the fill handle.
If you double click the fill handle, the formula will be filled down until the end of the data in column D.
When you add a new row of data, Excel will probably auto-enter the formula in the new row (if the check box “Extend data range formats and formulas” in the Edit tab of Tools | Options is ticked)
