Hello everybody. I would like to know, what one can do against fraud web pages and advertisement. I see numerous webpages like this:

    fraud

Which is clearly trying to steal money from people on the internet. They promise to learn czech in 4 weeks, they use fake people and fake profiles, they have lot of language mutations so they can run their “bussiness” everywhere..
I want to shut down webpages like that immediatelly, but how to do that? how to report them? How to catch these criminals?

Interesting fact is, that this ad made it to the Edge front page (!).

    whois

Should I report them to the domain registrator?

First install WOT extension for your browser.
      Second install uBlock Origin extension.

      Now try your search again.

I reported that to domain provider. I dont want to just block this ad. I want him to face consequences of his behavior against law and humanity.

      Providers reply:

Good, hopefully Namecheap will properly investigate the company’s domain registration.

If the Czech government has an equivalent agency similar to the Federal Trade Commission, and this learning a whole language in a month is serious level of fraudulent perhaps you can also report it to them. Having the evidence of Namecheap’s correspondence for this investigation might bolster your complaint.

Good luck with that. I hope you’re successful, but I suspect that the chances are slim

As long as the company provides at least some content for the money paid out, then someone would have to prove that it wasn’t humanly possible to learn a language in four weeks

It clearly isn’t, but the company could just say: well, we provided the materials, if the recipient hasn’t learned the language then they didn’t use the materials properly, or they were just too stupid to learn, or something. That’s assuming that namecheap makes any real effort to investigate the issue in the first place

And also, this kind of fraud has been going on since time immemorial. I rather think that “Caveat Emptor” applies. Let the buyer beware…

Still, as I say, good luck with the attempt

Thank you for opinion. It is true, that if they “provided promised materials and the person didnt make it”, then its the problem with this person, not the web. But if the web says, that this method was invented by a person, who clearly does not exist and they even say, that this person is Czech scientist who was nominated to the Nobel prize fot his approach, I think at that moment, it is clear, that this is fraud.
Thanks once again. Fingers crossed. But I think that it is highly unprobable, that something will happen, because internet is wasteland with lots of “gray areas”.

I agree use    U  Block  Origin. That really helps from getting pestered with the ads.

I do use AdBlocker in my chrome and Vivaldi. But once in a while I lauched “naked” Edge and it hit me hard 🙂 I was living in a happy place and without AdBlocker, UBlockOrigin or other tools – I am just sitting duck for those scammy ads. I finished the roport to the provider, but can they really do something else than shutting down the domain? But at least something.

But thanks anyway for suggestions by @Gio and @Alex5723. I will stick to world withour ads rather than became a hero with this level of impossibility (I mean there are so many scams and on the internet.. you know.. everybody can be anonymous).

Today I the answer to my submitted ticket came. And I think I give up, because I must put evidence (!) for statements that I wrote to webmaster. Thats impossible. How can I prove, that posts embeded to that webpage are lying? Look at webpage reviews, where people clearly saying, that it is fraud. How can I qualify, that it is impossible to learn czech in two weeks? How can I prove, that this person on the main page does not exist? I mean he DOES NOT exist, its obvious, because nobody from Czech republic with that name was never nominated to Nobel prize. Should I post a list of ALL czech people to them?

Internet is nasty place, why everybody needs to be so hypercorrect these days. Its bad.
