Iโ€™m running Win8.1. We just replaced a server and changed the IP address. The drive has been mapped. A check of Windows Credentials confirms user/password are correct.

If I start the computer and enter windows explorer, the mapped drive will open and files can be accessed.

If I exit and restart windows explorer, the mapped network drive does not open. Instead I get an expanding green stripe across the address bar.

Any suggestions on correcting this error?

The green bar on the address bar usually stops when it gets to the far right end, where the reload arrows are. Movement of the green bar means File Explorer is still reading the drive or looking for the drive. I had that happen and only had to remap the drive [WDC NAS]. Win7 and earlier versions of Windows Explorer sometimes had the same issue.

Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"
