Getting rid of task bar labels on open programs

I try to be compliant.  I even googled this myself (  ).  And even THAT didn’t do it.

So now what do I try next?  Can this NOT be done?

Chuck, what do you mean by “getting rid of task bar labels on open programs”?

Perhaps you should have given a full URL instead of a shortened one, but removing the URL completely from your post made it difficult to figure out what your post is about.

Can you upload a screenshot of what you’re referring to?

No more squished url’s.  I see that someone could hide badness that way…so…

Since W-11 gives me bubbles to tell what a task bar icon is, I do not need labels taking up that taskbar space.  SO I went looking for a solution(s).  Of the several I found, none of which work, here are a couple:

After following the ElevenForums tutorial, Step 6, did you reboot after making those registry changes?

I’d go back into the registry and confirm the changes actually “took”…

I just did after restarting, and I do believe, ONG, that the edits did take. But the labels are still there.

Oh well…
