I run Windows 8.1 and Firefox, all up to date.

In Gmail, there are [IMAP]/Sent and [IMAP]/Trash Subdirectories containing copies of recent sent and deleted emails. If I delete these directories, they come back.

Is there any use or reason for them? How do I get rid of them permanently?

    Thanks.

      jwoods –

Thanks. However, I can’t find the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab in Settings. Also, I don’t use Thunderbird or Outlook.

Great, but how do I get to the screen you show? Going to Tools > Options doesn’t do it. I’ve been through every possible tab.

Sign in to Gmail and go to the Gmail Settings not FF.

Oops did not see the reply

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.
