    Hey Y’all,

Just saw an article on updating Chrome for a zero day attack. So I duly went to each machine and did the update Settings->Help->About.

Worked great on both of my desktops, however the update choked on my Win 10 Pro laptop.

Rather than do all the trouble shooting I decided to try a different approach.
I went into PowerShell (should also work in the command prompt) as Admin and typed the following command:

     winget update -i google.chrome

Watched it do its thing, opened chrome and was greeted with the “What’s new in Chrome” screen. Went into settings and confirmed the version. Sure beats a bunch of troubleshooting.

May the Forces of good computing be with you!
