“Don’t let Chrome’s big redesign distract you from the fact that Chrome’s invasive new ad platform, ridiculously branded the “Privacy Sandbox,” is also getting a widespread rollout in Chrome today.”

    Nothing Google for me, thanks.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!
We all have our own reasons for doing the things that we do with our systems; we don't need anyone's approval, and we don't all have to do the same things.

The best mitigation is to uninstall Chrome.

..or don’t install Chrome in the first place.

Also remember that embedded Chrome installers are within program/ app installers. By opting for a ‘Custom Install’ with any programs/ apps allows anyone to avoid the browser when progressing through the installation wizard.

Vivaldi have issued a statement regarding Chrome Privacy Sandbox.. Bravo!

Spying on people’s behavior and profiling them is wrong. That is why we have made sure that Google’s Topics is disabled in two separate ways in the Vivaldi browser.
Chrome now directly tracks users, and generates a “topic” list it shares with advertisers. And this is simply ridiculous…

No surprise that a web browser created by one of the biggest ad companies in the world would do such a thing. Just another reason to call it what it is: spyware.

Those who wish to avoid the invasive ads tactic and still use Chrome:

Within gOOgle Chrome 116.0.5845.179 (or greater):
At the top right, click the ‘vertical 3 Dot icon’
      then select:
      Settings> Privacy & security> Ad privacy:

Disable all switches, including the following in submenus:

      ‘Ad Topics’
      ‘Site-suggested ads’
      ‘Ads measurement’

Should gOOgle re-enable them on future updates,
it’s worth checking this section over when that time comes.
