A slide that contained one text box filled with columnar type text would not print properly in handout mode. This particular slide was fine when printed on its own, and viewed fine in the presentation but when printed as a handout, 2 per page, the text box enlarged to the point that it covered the logo at the bottom right of the screen and all the formatting of the columnar text was out of whack. The first thought was that the printer was the culprit but sending it to various printers and copiers produced the same result. My colleague ended up (very quickly) re-typing the whole slide and putting the text into a table…that solved the problem. For future reference, is there anything that we can do to prevent this from happening again?

Could you attach a copy of the presentation with the problem slide? You can delete all other slides, and if the text is confidential, you can replace it with dummy text.

        Thanks Hans.

I will see if I can obtain this particular slide to attach. It may be too late to do so as it was re-typed and saved but I’m curious enough about this to see if I can replicate the problem simply by re-typing the slide as it was. If that problem still exists when I put it back the way it was, I will attach it here to see if an answer can be found to this mystery!
