I foolishly attached my slave 4.3 Gigs Fujitsu hard disk model MPD 3043AT to its power supply while the pc was still on so damaging it.
I thought maybe only the printed circuit on the outside could have been damaged so I was able to find an identical hard disk and, after making sure it was working, I detached its printed circuit and reattach in on the first hard disk but the hard disk still is not seen on boot-up.
There are basically only two connectors on the printed circuit to attach/detach.
Now, even the second hard disk isn’t detected on boot-up after putting back its printed circuit on it.
I have data on the first hard disk I’d like to recover. Any suggestions?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

I think John gave you the best advice there is, i.e. a “data recovery” business. It’ll probably cost you, but if the data is critical it could be worth it. However, if you’re willing to take ANOTHER chance, you could see if you can find a hard drive diagnostic at some Fujitsu web site to see if it can wake up the drive. There IS the chance when you do that of completely blowing your data, so be careful and read the directions if you try it.
