Help converting .sam to .doc

I have several floppy disks saved in the old Ami Pro .sam format which I cannot open. Is there a way to convert these sam type docs so I can read/edit on Word or Libre or OpenOffice?

If you or anyone you know has any previous version of MS Office, and they
installed the additional converters that were available on the MS Office
Update web site, these include a converter for Ami Pro 3.0. It will be
stored in:

c:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedTextConvami332.cnv

or wherever your Program Files folder is, if not on c:

This file will work with Word 2003. It will give a warning that opening an
Ami Pro 3.0 file is a possible security risk, but then will open normally if
you ask it to.

The new version the converters, in ORK.exe on the MS Office Update web site
no longer includes a converter for Ami Pro.
