    Hello, wondering in some opinions.

Just got a “new” laptop and was in German. I’ve turned it into English after installed the October monthly updates.
Problem is, windows update keeps saying some important updates are missing (cannot pick the defer date, says max time reached) and now, every time I try to shutdown, I get also the update and shutdown/restart and shutdown options. Even if I pick one of those, it keeps offering them at the next reboot.

If I go into windows update, it starts looking while saying in red that something important has to be still installed.

The laptop was reset before sending to me.

In Search or RUN I can enter — gpedit.msc — and get there …. Computer Config / Admin Template/ Windows Components/ Windows Update and sub-file WU For Business too..
Alex may add what exactly to look for amongst a lot of choices (ie) Not Configured or Enabled / Disabled…

      I will check,

In the meanwhile it decided, after checking for a very long time, to redownload the October cumulative update and has just reinstalled it by itself.

Pending restart > clicking now and will let you know.

      Ok, fixed itself it seems.

Maybe changing the language caused this? Not that it got fully changed, I’ve a few things left in German here and there like the login screen (willcommen instead of welcome), the date in German (only on the login screen), and I guess  a few things left somewhere.
