    Hi All,

Basically I need help finding help….

I am trying to debug a works timesheet spreadsheet. And I suspect the ‘cleverness’ of the spreadsheet has been hidden in the Microsoft Script Editor. I have never used this before, only the visual basic editor, where I have created all my previous VBA code.

Does anyone have a good resource about Microsoft Script Editor. Tutorials/ howtos/ why use it???? I have tried googling for it unsuccessfully.

    cheers,

    david.

My version of XP has help built in. Typing {F1} on a field brings it up just like in VBA. Its possible that this is only available because I did an “Install everything” selection when loading Office. Naturally this help is Microsoft’s usual ‘object’ help that gives very little clue on “why”. There was a URL pointing to the Microsoft site for tutorials – but the message that came back was “Sorry couldn’t help” which I interpret to mean page-not-found, but it may have meant subscription-not-paid.

      David,
I assume this spreadsheet is being used as an HTML or XML document somewhere (eg an office intranet)? Assuming that the language used is VBScript, you will find it is remarkably similar to VBA, albeit with fewer abilities.
I would say that, as Andrew suggested, the online help isn’t bad and if you have specific questions, feel free to post them here!
