I have Excel 2007 running on Windows 7. I frequently plot charts that have missing data points, so Excel defaults the Hidden & Empty Cell setting to ‘Gap’. 99.9% of the time I choose ‘Connect data points with line’ option. Is there some way that I can get Excel to default to the ‘Connect data points with line’ option, instead of ‘Gap’? I do NOT want to write a macro to do this.

The Excel Options screen does not provide a method to change this default, and I cannot even find this question asked when I search the internet or this forum.
