I had a problem connecting to the internet (high speed connection). I noticed in Windows Task Manager – Processes that svchost.exe – Network Service was running at 98%. Of course my PC’s performance was crawling. I terminated the process and ran Adware as I suspected spyware was trhe cause. I found 47 cases of spyware and eliminated them all. My PC performance was fine and I could connect to the internet.. Next day, I had the same problem … couldn’t connect to the internet and svchost.exe – Network Service was running at 98%. I ran Adware again and it found 106 cases of spyware. I removed them and decided to try a trail version of Spy-Cop. It found nothing. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this problem? Your help will be grealty appreciated.

You have probably installed a piece of innocent looking software which is doing the dirty on you. Check out SMBP’s response in post 239208.
