Hello all, is there a way to automatically select and highlight every occurrence of the word “investigate” in my document? I know this can be done in Internet Explorer with the Google Toolbar.

    Sincerely,

    JMT

To select all occurrences of “investigate”

      – Enter the wordinvestigate in the ‘Find what’ box.
      – You may want to click More and tick the check box to find whole words only/
      – Tick the check box “Mark All”. The “Find Next” button will change to “Find All”.

And if you meant permanent highlighting (as if you used a marker pen):
      – First, select the highlight color you want to use – click the little dropdown arrow on the right hand side of the Highlight button on the Formatting toolbar.
      – Then, select Edit | Replace or press Ctrl+H.
      – Enter investigate in the ‘Find what’ box.
      – Enter ^& in the ‘Replace with’ box (this means that you’ll replace with whatever is in the ‘Find what box).
      – Click More.
      – If desired, tick the check box to find whole words only.
      – With the insertion point in the ‘Replace with’ box, click Format.
      – Select Highlight from the dropdown menu.
      – Click ‘Replace All’.
