Is there any way to turn a bulleted list sideways so that I can, say, have a 3-column alphabetized list that goes over more than one page?

That is, I’d like a table where A, B, C are in the cells of the top row. D, E, F, are in the cells of the second row. What I don’t want is a table where A, G, M is in the first row; B, H, N is in the second row, and so on.

I’m trying to avoid making the user scroll down the same pages over and over to see what’s in a 3-column sequential list.

    Thanks,
    Bob

      (1) Highlight your text (make sure it’s alphabetized first).
      (2) From the Tables menu, select Convert | Text to Table.
      (3) In the ensuing dialog box, for Number of Columns, you want “3” and Separate Text At should specify “Paragraph”.
      (4) Remove borders from the table or change any other table attributes and that should do it!
