I have two new laptops (one main and one for travel) and need Word on both of them. Both are Windows 11. I have a license for Word 2013 on my old computer that I will transfer to my main laptop. I have my original disc for Word 2002. I’d like to install 2002 on both computers because I love it’s simplicity, it’s easier on the eyes, and Microsoft won’t let me install 2013 on more than one computer. I use 2013 (docx files) for my clients and 2002 doc for all of my (extensive) personal uses. I have never had a single security problem with Word 2002 in the last 20+ years.
I saved the Word 2002 files from the disc to a thumb drive and downloaded the thumb drive files to the new laptop. I opened the installation file but Windows 11 rejected it. I have read in forums that it’s possible to install Word 2002 on Windows 11. Can anyone explain how to do that step by step for a novice? THANK YOU!!!
