in Word 2007, by default is there a way to turn on the setting in the Styles Pane window, Show Preview on?

What were finding is a couple of things:
    1. on users pc when they Style Pane is displayed, it isnt docked. its floating in the middle of the word screen. The users wont know how to display this, so its not like Word has retained this setting view

    2. sometimes the Style Pane displays Preview on
and other times its jsut plain text?

    is this template based?
is there a global setting to display this view?

    many thanks

I think Word remembers and displays the pane in its last position. And the same for the show preview box. Users can dock the pane by double clicking in its title bar.
