Good morning, I apologize if this has already been posted. My firm has just converted from Lotus Notes to Outlook 2016. An attorney gave his secretary Delegate access to his Contacts (Editor). She wants to send an email from her Inbox but browse the attorney contacts from the To: field. When she clicks the address book drop down options, she only sees her Contacts. Is there a setting to change to allow this? Thank you so much.

AskWoody LoungerDecember 6, 2016 at 1:09 pm #1586270There does not appear to be a method to ask for a specific person’s contacts. There is a setting for All Contacts though.

I’m not convinced this really means “Contacts for all registered Exchange users” however.

AskWoody LoungerDecember 6, 2016 at 1:27 pm #1586274From the Outlook Help system:
Open another person’s Exchange Contacts
When another Microsoft Outlook user grants you permission to his or her Contacts folder, you can open it in Outlook. If you do not have permission, a permission request email message is sent to the other person.
Note: A Microsoft Exchange Server account is required.
1.In Contacts, on the Home tab, in the Share group, click Open Shared Contacts.
2.Type a name in the Name box, or click Name to select a name from the Address Book.
3.Click OK.
After you access a shared Contacts folder for the first time, that Contacts folder is added to the Navigation Pane under Other Contacts. The next time that you want to view the shared Contacts folder, you can go directly to the contacts in the Navigation Pane.
If the person whose Contacts folder that you want to open hasn’t granted you permission to do this, a sharing request email message opens. This message allows you to request permissions to view another person’s Contacts folder. You can also allow your Contacts to be shared with the sharing request recipient.
