I have all my music on the computer in the office. I have one in the living room for my movies. I use Foobar for my player. I’ve shared the drives on the office computer and mapped them to the correct letters for the play list on the living room computer. When I try to play the play list in the living room I get the message that xx is not accessible access is denied. When I add the files manually I get “\OfficeMisc is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

    Access is denied.”

If I share the folders I can access them. Am I going to have to do this with every folder? Is there an easier way?

      C.M.,

You only need to share the Top Level folder (OfficeMisc) and tell it to allow the sub-folders. Then you’re good to go. HTH

Is Foobar running as a different user to the one who can access the files?

      cheers, Paul

Thanks! I vaguely remembered having this problem before. I turned of the Sharing on all the drives and turned it back on and it works fine.
