I use fastmail.com app for email. I received an attached photo in JPG format. I saved it and was asked save to cloud or file storage. Cannot seem to find “file storage” nor the photo.

Is there a way to find this photo? I saved it 3 times(stubborn) and don’t want it using the linited space I have on my IPhone 11. IOS =13.6.1

    Thank you for reading this.

I don’t know if this will work for your situation, but when I can’t locate something I’ve just saved, I try to save it again, noting the location instead. It usually helps 🙂

I don’t have iAnything. But the first hit on a Search for [ ios files storage ] is
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206481 . There are other hits that may be useful.

      what is IAnything?

I suspect the lost files(5x)  have something to do with the email app.

The only location is presented when asked “save to 1 Cloud 2 Iphone  I select iphone and am informed its in File storage. I’ve used search from the files app…nothing found- checked entire phone (I think) and recents- says “no recents”, not in photos. I understand Apple introduced a new format HEIC I think. But cannot convert a jpg to that ….. It would seem it is such a common thing to do but Apple had to make it seemingly, difficult. I respect all the suggestions and thank you all for the help. The jpg attachment appears in my email app so I just took a screen shot and edited it from photos.

Further suggestions would be great! Screenshots are a convoluted way to get an attachment!

      back to the book!

Try the camera roll or open Files app – browse – on my iPhone.
