How to make fine adjustments to objects?

There are some arrows in a PPT presentation that are just a little bit crooked. I need to adjust them diagonally, just a little bit. What are the key commands to make fine adjustments across the various axes?

I know that Ctrl+ the arrow keys will move an object right, left, up, or down, but I need to raise the right side of the arrow just a few hairs so that it is even. Thanks!

Not sure that this is the solution for you but when I insert an arrow, selecting it gives a number of handles, one at the top allows you to rotate it. This seems so simple that I wonder if I have misunderstood what you’re asking. I’m using PPT 2013, but I’m sure there was something similar in 2003.

I see a circular arrow at the top, but when I adjust it, it doesn’t provide the fine, granular control that I’m looking for.

Another tip is that many programs have Snap-to-Grid on which limits how fine an adjustment you can make. Turning this off gives you more control.

Ahh interesting. Will google that re: PPT. Though if anyone knows offhand, that’d be great, too.

The simplest way that I use is to change the zoom (under the View menu) to 200% or higher. This gives more granular control, as long as you have either disabled “Snap to grid” or made the grid very small, say one pixel or .01 inch.
