• How to post a "Reply" in Lounge Forums area?

Hey all, great site & consult all the time.

I usually post as an “anonymous”.  I can post a “Reply” in the regular forum by selecting Reply in the person’s post I am replying to and (after review by staff) it appears as an indented box with my reply under that post.

However, when I try this while in the Lounge Forums area, it takes me to the input dialogue box but I am unable to enter any text.  I can go to the dialogue box directly as a new post and input text and post, but then it does not appear as a reply just another post.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in the Lounge posting process?  It seems those with registered names successfully post replies.

When you click the “Reply” button, it should drop to the bottom of the topic where there is an entry box. Be sure you don’t click “Report” or one of the other buttons because they are real light and hard to read. The box at the bottom should look like this:

Sometimes I’m unable to enter text unless I click on the ‘Text’ tab (as opposed to the ‘Visual’ tab which often seems to be the default)

Testing using the Text tab to see if Reply works.

TIP: Using the Text Tab editor opposed to the Visual Tab editor has the added benefit of filtering HTML code out from a Copy and Paste 😉

When replying to any blogpost (home-page article), there is a button just below the title that should be used to access the replies page. It shows as “Comment on the AskWoody Lounge”.

While it shows on Lounge topics as well, it’s only important to the blogposts, where there is a difference. i.e. today’s 12 days of Christmas blogpost, and the related replies topic.
