Apologies in advance for length of post, but wanted to give any helpful Lounger as much background as possible! I’ve had no luck in WordPress so am hoping someone here can help with a WordPress issue. I’m using Windows 7.1 and WordPress 4.3.

I’m trying to size and frame an html course that is linked to from a draft “landing page” on our site test site: http://test.mygoforthegreen.com/go/landing-page-test/

Tried to use Thickbox from TinyMCE Advanced tools, but am not having any luck getting it to work. Have viewed their how to video, read support threads, searched all over the Internet and here, but…

ADDED INFO: The company whose e-learning software I use said that I had used “course126288.html” (see code below) to publish to my webserver and I should have used “launch.html”.

Makes sense but where do I find the “launch.html” file? It’s nowhere on the course files I uploaded to the server.

Here’s the code that works to link to the course, but spreads it across the whole computer screen:
Image of 9 sales skills in Practice on 9 hole course

I’m trying to get it sized into a frame as it is in the site demo (please click “Try the Demo” button on this page to see course size goal):
    http://www.mygoforthegreen.com/practice/

Attempted to copy/modify code from what our (now gone) web designer has on that page, but without success.

As you can tell, I’m minimally technical. Can anyone help me through this? There is obviously some tech point I’m missing. Even tried adding some code to functions.php (suggestion from a support article), but without success.

Any suggestions hugely welcome! Been at this for days and I’m out of ideas!

    Hopefully,

    Linda

Having looked at the code behend the popup the style sheet that is being loaded to control the popup has a width setting of 900px. So the width you are settign in the iframe is being overwritten by the style sheet. You need to see if you can get to the style sheet settigns to change the popup width

Aha, ashbour, I see what you mean.

Not quite sure how to get to the style sheet settings for this. Will check with program developers.

Meantime, I found the “launch.html” file and replaced the “coursexxx.html” file with it. The course then opened with the correct size!

Now, the issue is that it opens on a blank web page so a user has to click once to close the course and again to go back to the original landing page. Not good.

I’ll post back when I hear from the Udutu program support people re. style sheet.

I very much appreciate your time in taking a look at this and trying to help! I’m quickly discovering all that I don’t know in this whole area!!

UPDATE: wanted to let the Lounge know that this issue has been resolved…at last.

The elearning software supplier gave me some Java script code to add to the html of my page…and all now works perfectly. If it would help anyone to see the code, I’ll happily post it. Just let me know.

Thanks for all those who read my post and tried to help. It is very much appreciated!
