    Dear All,
One of my colleagues is getting an error frequently(attached) in powerpoint 2010 and as a result he keeps losing many slides that he prepared. The error is not very clear. I suspect it may be due to the file, as I tried reinstalling office 2010 and still the error persists. Any ideas?

What does the (attached) refer to? Are the slides coming to him as attachments to E-Mail? Has he checked the hard drive for errors? Has he tried putting the slides a USB Thumb/Flash drive and tried on a different computer?

Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"

Dear Adams_032, ask your colleague to insert the slides from corrupt PowerPoint presentation to a new one. This might work for him/her. Or he/she may also try some other manual tricks, like “Open and Repair” the corrupt Presentation file, by locating TMP or temporary file, by opening the corrupt file in LibreOffice or OpenOffice, etc.

I can share a blog post here in which you’ll find the tricks are beautifully explained. Ask your colleague to try any one of them.
