I’m the HelpDesk Coordinator for a small ISP, and I have a request from one of our users to help them eliminate the “URL-completion memory”. You can flush the History and even do a regedit to get rid of the “Typed URLs” without touching this, and removing the “inline-completion” check mark doesn’t help, either. Upgrading to IE 5.5 didn’t make any difference, other than throwing in a few new problems.

To delete specific autocomplete URLs, go to:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerTypedURLs
      & delete values.

      Hope this helps.

There should be a ‘Don’t ash again’ check box.

What about Tools, Internet Options, the Content tab, and AutoComplete? Has that been disabled?

No, that was what I was looking for, all right.

        Thanks!
