Set up a google mail account mainly to get use of photo uploads from Picasa.
Afterwards found home page in IE changed to a google version which had supplanted previous and installed itself as ‘default’. (http://www.google.com/ig/redirectdomain?brand=SVEA&bmod=EU01)
So could not get back to original.

Original was a Sony compliation from initial startup of PC (Vaio – all in one)which I had tweaked and was quite happy with and would like back.Cannot recall URl for this original – will it be stored somewhere on the PC, I can’t find it.
    Any suggestions please.

Do you happen to have a restore point that is prior to setting up you mail account?
Before and while you install anything read through it and read what it tells you it is installing. That way you can avoid some of these pitfalls.Especially with Google and Yahoo!

You could search for the original home page.
Try right clicking on C: and selecting Search. Enter “*.htm” (without the quotes) and search.

      cheers, Paul
