When I right-click on a link and select Save As (for instance to download a linked .ppt file) by default my browser looks for a network drive where I usually save this stuff. However the destination server is having some problems today, so when I try to perform this function it locks up my browser. I can’t find how to change the default (I think it just looks to the last place you saved to in this fashion). Any ideas?

    TIA. Joe

IE is sticky and remembers the LAST “Drive and folder” saved at. You should wait until you get a error message and then select a new location.

        Hi
Alternatively, XTeQ 6.1 is a freeware tweaker that lets you change the default location of IE files, such as Downloads, Favorites, Cookies and History. Available from my web site (# 18 ).
