IE7 and Flash 9 (IE7 Beta 3)

Has anyone noticed a conflict? Whenever I go to a site that has Flash it crashes. I searched to see if this was a known problem but could not find anything.

No. This machine I’m using now has that combination and works fine. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash?

Just to update. I got the following email from MS

Turns out my team is the appropriate team! Unfortunately, due to the nature of the repro, we suspect that this crash is occuring within Flash. As a result, we have a seperate method for finding and fixing these kind of bugs with more accuracy: Watson. So, when you get the prompt–it’s still a good idea to send an error report. Meanwhile, we have fixed many issues with Flash, and we are currently tracking a couple of open issues with the latest version of Flash. She should be resolved by the time we release

Thanks for the update. Too bad there wasn’t a real resolution now. Hope it does indeed get resolved by RTM.

I am now using the final version of IE7 and i still cannot see any Flash material. I have followed the instructions and reinstalled Flash numerous times. No go. I have seen some stuff on the web about EOLAS law suit may have to do with this. Any ideas on how to I can see youtube on IE7
Is anyone else having this issue?

I haven’t tried IE7, but the changes to IE6 relating to that patent require that you click on an ActiveX control to be able to use its buttons. The control does appear on the page automatically.
