A small nit, but everyone has something small that bugs the hell out of them.

On the New York Times web site, on individual articles there (should be) a box with different choices- log in, print, save, e-mail. When I browse with IE7, the box enclosing the links to the action is there, but the link to perform the action is not.

I am running Zone Alarm Security Suite with IE7. I have moved to different

Is the browser disabling Active Scripting for that site? If other JavaScript works there, then I guess not, but you could check whether moving *.nytimes.com to your Trusted Sites list makes any difference.

If the Times tech folks say they are working on it then it is unlikely it is an IE 7 bug. There were many changes made in IE7 to improve security and standards compliance. These changes have required corresponding modifications to some sites. Seems as though the TImes site is one of these.

Another one of those sites is Wells Fargo. My wife went on there and was unable to login. I did a little checking on their site and they are not supporting IE 7 since it is still in beta.

Well they sure ought to be working on it. MS says IE 7 is feature complete. Performance issues and critical bugs will be the only things fixed until final release.

I had a similar problem with IE 7, where my bank would not recognize parts of IE 7 and they had not yet converted their system to accept IE7.

MS has put a two reg files that will allow IE7 to be “spoofed” and LOOK like IE6 to the web sites.
One is to allow the spoof and the other is to “unspoof” the change.

It IS put by Microsoft and it DID work for me.
