So to troubleshoot this properly, when you say you’re Using Outlook, do you mean the web version of Outlook for consumers, or the desktop program called Outlook? Also where is the email coming from in Microsoft account or something else like Gmail or other?

It’s Outlook 365 desktop using my ISP’s IMAP connected account. Not exchange or Gmail.

      Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2204 Build 16.0.15128.20240) 64-bit

Maybe try playing around in this menu system. I don’t have this issue myself. What speed is your bandwidth? Also, are the files huge? Like over 1 GB?

The image is 5.5KB and bandwidth is not an issue.

How about RAM. How much RAM do you have and what is your RAM profile when this is happening (how much actual RAM does your system have?) I have seen many computers lately with 8 GBs using a much more RAM intensive profile (i.e. Many open Browser windows, Teams, Outlook, Excel etc) run into odd problems when they max out their working RAM. I would see what task manager says about your RAM useage. If you only have 8 you may be ready for a RAM upgrade. Every one of my clients had to go to 16GBs because of this very issue. I say this because clearly the picture is downloading if you can copy it, but Outlook is having a hard time getting the image in place. Application issue.

I have 32GB of RAM so no issues there.
