I have a column of labels in an excel file (5,000 rows). I want to import into access and use as my header (first row) fields. Is there an ez way to do this? thank you.

That will convert the column to a row and you can then import the range into Access without any effort. In the import, tell it the range has column headers and your labels will become field names.

AskWoody LoungerNovember 8, 2001 at 2:15 pm #550892Hi,
Bad news and good news. No, the limit still there, 255 fields per table. Good code how to transpose at MS site http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar…RCH&SPR=ACC2002
Cheers!
