Impossible to post to Apple forums from Windows 10

I am one of those apparently stupid persons who has both Windows and Apple products. I like all my products and I don’t want to change to only Windows or only Apple products. I should be able to mix them seems to me.

However, I cannot post in Apple forums from Windows 10. I could last year and before that. But this year has been a mess. Even when I use Edge (which I dislike) instead of Firefox or Brave, I get error messages when I try to post saying try again in a few minutes. So, I wait and try again (and again later and again, etc) and still cannot post.

It seems to me that Apple has EXTREMLY LIMITED hours now during which one can post to their forums. I’m not having any problems anywhere else on the web using my Windows 10 computer except Apple forums. Am I correct that they have drastically limited their hours? I’m in Hawaii and it is 3AM here but I can post anywhere else at this hour…I doubt this is an ISP problem since it only Apple forums I have the problem with.

I’m going to bed. I bet when I get up in 8 hours (noon) I will be able to post there. I think I recall being able to do just that a month or so when I also had this problem. I don’t see how it can be an ISP problem…right? I have the same ISP for over 20 years. Is Apple really limiting the hours when one can post….probably affecting Hawaii but not the USA Mainland?

I have no problems posting with Windows 10 and Chrome at any hour.

It’s 3:40PM here in Hawaii and I can’t post at Apple forums even at this hour on any browser. I can login but if I try to reply to a thread, ALL browsers freeze.

I have the latest version of Fx ESR and Edge and Brave. I block Google as much as is possible these days and have for many years as Google is evil. I’ve used Duck Duck Go for my search since its inception.

I just used my Windows 8.0 Pro computer (only have one monitor as no room on my desk for another one and I do ethernet wired and don’t own a laptop or tablet anyway) and had the problem there on Edge. In fact, on Edge on Windows 8 Pro, Apple forum page locks and I can’t do anything. I used Edge on Windows 8 because it is fully up to date. I did start Firefox on Windows 8 and it works at various websites but not at Apple. It is the ESR version.

Mele20, Given that Alex has written that he can post to a certain Apple forum with no problems, would you believe that it would be helpful to get in touch by email with that forum, if you can’t log in there, and ask them about this, in case they can help? Maybe if the problem is resolved there that will show how to resolve it elsewhere.

Also, are other Mac users you may know in Hawaii also having the problem you have?

I’ve noticed you post and tend not to come back so I don’t know if you’ll see this.

Apple is not limiting the hours that Hawaiians can post to their forums.

Since this is happening with multiple browsers on more than one computer at only one site, it sounds like a temporary block on your IP address.

The Apple Community has a restriction where you have to wait at least 30 seconds between posts. Some users say that they have to wait 10 minutes or much longer.

What Level user are you in the Community? Newer/lower Level users are subject to even tighter restrictions. If this is what you’re running into, it’s quite common. This is an anti-spam policy.

This might explain most of what you are seeing. If you tried to log in with one browser first, and you ran into, say, a cookie issue, then kept trying, even with different browsers, that would explain why you can’t get in because you are blocked at the site. This would also explain why you can’t get in with either computer and why you are only having problems at this one site. It would also explain why you are able to get in by waiting.

Does the same problem happen if you log in and post with your iPhone?
