I have used “In control” to hold 11 23H2.Now I hear it should be 11/24H2. Have I done this correctly or do I need to make a change?   I am using Windows Home, by the way, and I do not want to move up to Windows 11 Until Win 10 is no longer supported which I believe is October 2025.

If you want to stay on Win10, then you need to use “Windows 10” and “22H2” in the boxes in InControl. The boxes need to reflect the OS and version you want to hold. You can continue to use Win10 until Oct, 2025. So you do not need to change anything now unless you want to upgrade.

If you want to move to Windows 11, then you should use “Windows 11” in the OS box, and either “23H2” (the older version of Win11), or “24H2” (the recently released version of Win11).

24H2 is not a recommended upgrade.

Don’t take the 24H2 update just yet.

24H2 is still baking in the oven.  Not to mention it’s a BIG update so I consider it more like a “the turkey is baking in the oven and you have an hour to kill” kind of update.

O.K., I’ll keep it at 11/23H2 for the time being.

You say you are using Windows 10. Then you say you will keep it at 11/23H2, which is Windows 11.

If you are really using Win10, and you set it to 11/23H2, it will allow an upgrade to Windows 11, which you said you didn’t want.

What version are you actually using??
