Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes anyway. My friend has been using Incredimail for a long time. (so Sad Too Bad). She has a lot of pictures
that have come via Email and we would like to MOVE them completely out of Incredimail and put them into a folder on the desktop so that we can use PhotoShop to edit, etc.
I have tried everything I can think of with NO success. There are about 190 items and using the Click and Save AS route I can get them into a desktop folder one at a time, but they are still in the Incredimail format.

Anyone familiar with Incredimail may, hopefully be able to give me some advice,

    Thank you all.

If you forward the mails to someone with another e-mail program (ex outlook), are the pictures still in that Incredimail format or can you save it in another format ?

I looked at forwarding them but could only do ONE at a time. With 190 files that was gonna take too long. I’m looking for some method to MOVE or COPY them as a Batch.

It might help if you tell us what the file extension is for these files.

Try changing the file extension of one of the Incredimail files in that folder to .jpg and see if it will open.

I’ve used Incedimail for a few years. Bad decision but my Grandchildren liked it and I wanted to help them out. I’m sorry I don’t have an answer, I always save any pictures immediately to another folder. All I can suggest is you open each email, select all the pictures from the attachments ‘Save as’ drop down menu and put them in another folder. It won’t take too long once you get a rhythm going.

Thanx all for your comments and suggestions. Will continue with the lengthy process of Forwarding each one. I’ve got all winter to do it.

      WAIT I HAVE THE SOLUTION

Get Incredimail Converter 0.3 from http://www.softpedia.com/developer/Reynardware-55168.html
I’ve tried it and it works well.

If you forward each one you will get Incedimail ads splattered at the bottom of each one.

I have used Eudora (now freeware) since Win 95 and onto Win XP. Eudora stores attachments (like photos) in teh same format as sent. That is, jpeg images are saves as jpeg and bit maps are stored as bmp files. When I get photos in Jpeg format, it is a simple two window transfer of copying (or moving) from the Eudora attachment directory to what ever other directory or file location.

Embdedded files are stored in a separate directory, but I normally do not have reason to mess with the embedded material (i.e. like Maxine or other comics and email jokes and religious stuff).
