• Install Aug 2021 update first or just Sep update

Last month I installed the Aug 2021 updates on all our workstations. Two of them started getting blue screens (something is wrong…) here and there.  So uninstalled Aug and hid it with wushowhide (just on the two causing issues).

New month, new attempt.  Do I un-hide Aug and do Aug/Sep updates or just leave Aug hidden and apply the cumulative Sep update (well later this week, per Susan)?

    Cheers!!

The Sept update should supersede the Aug update and it should disappear (no longer be available). The Sept update is cumulative (as are all Windows CUs) and contains the Aug update with maybe fixes for whatever caused your problem.

Check the Support pages for KB5005565 and the 21H1 Known Issues list. See if you can identify the source of your blue screens, something that pertains to your machines.

There’s been no Microsoft acknowledged trigger for bsod’s in the August updates.  Start by making sure your video card drive is up to date and then as PK says, just install September.
