Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

Im trying to upgrade a lot of windows 10 machines to latest upgrade (1803) using wsus.
The patch is rolling out fine to clients but the it will not install without using choosing “Restart and upgrade” from start-menu.
The clients is set to auto upgrade and all other patches is installed without any interaction from users.
Anyone got some tips how to force the upgrade or trigger is remotely using script/powershell/…
Personally I use a script to install it. I download the 1803 from the media location (Woody’s post) and then run a script.

that installs 10 and doesn’t do the “we’re getting your system ready” that takes a while.

This may by the best solution since i cant find any way to install the update once its downloaded from my WSUS.
The computer just keeps restarting until a user clicks “Restart and update”
If only there were a command that would trigger the same api-call …
There is a API call “InitiateShutdown” with flag “SHUTDOWN_INSTALL_UPDATES” but this installs normal patches but not Upgrades
