Has anyone installed O97 after O2k? Any issues? I know that there’s no issues going the other way, I’ve done that before.

    Thanx…

ofice97 will be set as the open verison on d-clicks. outlook will be messed up if you install ol97 after ol2000 (you should use custom and not choose ol97)
some of the utility apps – clip art, word art etc, might not work. Office2000 will want to do detect and repair and should fix anything that is broken.

Actually, my boss did this on his machine by temporarily renaming the executables in Office 2000 (i.e., msaccess.exe, winword.exe, etc.), which allowed the 97 installation to proceed. He hasn’t reported any problems. However, he didn’t even try to install Outlook since we don’t use Outlook in the office. I would avoid installing Outlook97 at all.

Thanx to all for the replies. I think I’ll be giving it a whirl after a backup. The only real thing that I’m currently concerned with having both version of is Access and Word. I definitely would not install a previous version of Outlook. I remember reading about that in WOW along the way.
