While checking for “refreshgwxconfig-B” and not finding it, I came across some entries that I do not recognize.  There are 2 of them and they appear to be from Intel with the above program associated with it.  There is also a 3rd task from Intel that runs iumsvc.exe that has the same non editable configuration.  Strange I cannot find any way to edit them so they are not checking everyday or any time any user logs on.  I have never been notified by Intel that there are updates available so why are they here?  I occasionally check for updates using Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.  Why are these 3 tasks running on my system and not giving me access to their settings.  Anything I can do to change this?  I see I have the option to delete them, but am hesitant.

    Thanks

It may be part of an Intel driver package you installed. There don’t seem to be issues associated, so it’s up to you if you leave them.

      cheers, Paul

I do not mind them being there if they actually do something useful.  However checking for updates everytime the PC is booted up is way overkill in my opinion.  Also not giving me permission to adjust how often this happens is pretty egotistic of them.  I checked services and it appears that I have already set SUR to manual so I guess that is being overridden by all the the tasks.  After some more checking, I just disabled the tasks, so I will see what happens.  I am guessing nothing.
