GuestJune 10, 2011 at 12:27 pm #56835I’m running win 7 32bit on a P4 @2.8ghz. with 2gigs of ram and a Radeon HD3600 card. Not a fancy setup by any means. For the life of me I cannot get IE9 to run half decently on my machine. It’s choppy, slow, it “sticks”. Ive checked and unchecked smooth scrolling, disabled all addons and basically tried any solution I could find on the net. But it seems that I am about the only 1 having this problem as googling brings up few situations that can’t be solved with the above solutions. Oh well, Chrome does me just fine.

GuestJune 13, 2011 at 1:03 am #56836Windows Secrets is a GREAT newsletter. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants to stay on top of the ever-changing world of MS Windows.
And no, I don’t have any ownership or financial interest in it. I’m simply a very satisfied subscriber who considers it one of my “must-read” e-mail “publications”.
“Windows Secrets” and the print version of “PC World” are my absolute favorite sources of PC info and tips (and “Spreadsheet Tips From An Excel Addict” by Francis Hayes if you’re at all into Excel).

GuestJune 16, 2011 at 1:00 am #56837@Mike Wiener —
As Woody says, update IE, but use Chrome or Firefox. You will sleep easier and get more done while you are awake. BTW, Chrome 12 has a new update this week (and every other week, it seems). So do Java and Flash. It’s so hard keeping up, but all of these programs can self-update, and their updates (unlike IE or Firefox updates) have caused me no headaches whatsoever so far.
@Cassandra —
Safari on Windows?? Are you kidding me?!
