hey guys, In the past I had read int this forum of someone giving a website
to run an internet speed connection test, I tried searching this forum but cannot find it.
Does any one remember the site. If so, could someone post it. Much appreciated.

Best to choose one in your own country. You could always Google “internet speed testers”. One which enables you to choose a local server is Speedtest which has a reworked website. However the download results for me are wildly optimistic and variable, at between 13 and 35 Mbps – on a 10 Mbps line on which I standardly get 9.1-9.2 Mbps with a reliable UK tester.

AskWoody LoungerMay 8, 2009 at 5:26 am #1159729hi everyone, thanks to all of your reply’s. I apologize if I offended any one
with my raw sense of humour. Couldn’t resist when I saw Viking33 asking
“if you are a Texan”.
Viking33, thanks very much, the link site you gave was actually the one I had been
searching for. The curious thing is I get a better result from East Coast cities above all,
especially Atlanta (17000 dl/kps 490ul/kps). Dallas at 15673 dl/kps 492ul/kps and
14126 dl/kps 484ul/kps for Seattle. Which I guess appears to be about average.
OH , DocWatson, you are correct on your last post. (lol).-

AskWoody LoungerMay 8, 2009 at 6:11 am #1159735hi everyone, thanks to all of your reply’s. I apologize if I offended any one …
I’m positive you didn’t offend anyone, especially Viking and Doc. Me neither fer that matter – I’m a former New Yawker and used to “rough” talk. I just haven’t “met” any Texans ever since our Cowboy dropped out of sight… or moved to Florida… or whatever.
PS When having a geography discussion recently with my 5 year old grandson, he asked what’s the biggest state in the USA. I immediately answered TEXAS. His 8 year old brother corrected me to say that Alaska is the largest. Learn something new every day, even from the kids.
