Is Anyone Waking W10 for a Scheduled Task?

Task Scheduler Worked at first (Waking WizTree actually Woke the Computer) but Not now – AW Search (“wake computer”, “Task Scheduler”) no help..

Rather than first listing the many things I’ve tried from Search, IS anyone successfully Waking WIN 10 FOR a Scheduled Task to work (ie) Macrium Images for me AND HOW if Yes? Even the App — WakeupOnStandby — fails (Supposed to wake W10 without a target App involved but I named SnippingTool.exe) / email sent for suggestions)… In both methods the target “Start-this-App” does appear But ONLY when I move the mouse to Wake WIN 10 … The Web is full of similar Failures…

I have Acronis backup scheduled to daily 3:00AM backup, which it does.

Thanks, Alex. All of the discussions for this issue involve things like – Allow Wake Timers – make Enabled – and certain settings in Task Mgr that I’ve duplicated many times to no avail. Macrium’s Wake Computer box surely hasn’t worked for me, although checked.

I’m resolved to just make sure if I’m away for 5 PM Image starts that I Edit my “Put the computer to sleep in X hours” sufficient enough to handle the Macrium Images schedules. Too many with the same problem to expect a solution now. I’ll head on over to Macrium’s Forum but first thought IF a miracle Fix was found here it would help other AW users, too.

I have Macrium Reflect running (does not show in task manager) and a backup batch file (daily).  The latter shows 6 events in ‘history’ each time it runs (1 month’s worth) – what does yours show?

I mis-spoke … All of my troubleshooting efforts were in Task SCHEDULER, not MGR… BUT I found the Solution.

The most recent Thread in Macrium’s Forum is (guess what) “Scheduled Backups Not Running” and from it the OP posted that M Sppt had him use the “Use Macrium Task Scheduler” AND UN-Chk “Use the Windows SYSTEM account to run scheduled tasks”.  THAT mod Still didn’t wake my computer with a Test Incr —  BUT one post-er asked if he’d run Fix VSS Problems (Other Tasks tab) so I tried THAT. Did a 2nd Test Incr with edited Schedule and W10 Woke-Up. Never would I have done any of that without this new Thread. I presume Scheduled Images will now Run fine after W10 Wake-up.
